Confession Time

I have a favorite radio station.  It isn't country, although I loved that for a while.  It isn't classical, although those songs are lovely.  It isn't Christian, although, perhaps, it should be.

No.  I love the Indian radio station.  104.9 it is, and I just can't stop listening to it.  I have no idea what they are saying, but the songs are always interesting.  And since I have no idea what they are saying, if the words are inappropriate they certainly can't get into my head or heart.  The singing is lovely.

The commercials are dumb, of course, but I think that reflects on the nature of commercials instead of the fact that they are partly in English and partly in Hindi, or whatever language is.

I'm definitely hooked on 104.9.  Try it; maybe you'll agree with me.

  1. how in the world did you even discover that?

I used to know some one who listened to Indian radio (as in native american). Hey-yu-hey-yu.... that was always very interesting too......

  2. We discovered it about a year ago, but after getting hooked we lost the station and couldn't find it for the life of us. Then Tim found it again the other day. I would not like to listen to Hey yu hey yuuuuu, hey yu over and over... that would be like having an Ingalls soundtrack. Or soundtrack from the searchers. Or McLintock.
